The Greater Gateway Association of REALTORS® is dedicated to promoting and maintaining high standards of conduct and ethics in the real estate profession. The Association is committed to enhancing membership by identifying and providing programs, products, services, and knowledge that enable our members to conduct business successfully and to be an advocate for the preservation of real property.
As a member of the Greater Gateway Association of REALTORS® (GGAR), the Illinois Association of REALTORS® (IAR), and the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), you receive access to the Multiple Listing Service and electronic (Supra) key in addition to a variety of services that GGAR provides.
Association Image Campaign. We have created an Association Image Campaign aimed at promoting REALTORS® and the real estate industry. This program is implemented through print, radio, and television advertising that is run January through August and compliments NAR’s national public image campaign.
Broker courses. To help advance your career, we offer a series of broker courses several times a year.
Continuing education courses. We offer a variety of continuing education courses throughout the year, as well as home study courses and online courses. All of these courses are worth continuing education credit that is required for license renewal and approved by IAR. We continuously monitor this program, focusing on the needs of our members and the requirements of the real estate industry.
Contracts, forms, and brochures. We provide, at minimal cost, a variety of IAR-approved contracts, forms, and brochures for use in your business.
Code of Ethics, mediation, and arbitration packets. We provide Code of Ethics packets (complaint against a REALTOR®), mediation packets (dispute between buyer and seller), and arbitration packets (dispute between REALTORS® or agencies) at no cost to you.
Member events. We hold a variety of member events throughout the year, including the Awards Banquet, Golf Outing, Installation Banquet, and Holiday Luncheon, as well as events hosted by the Community Involvement Committee and Affiliates Committee. These events offer a great networking opportunity and a refreshing change of pace from the daily grind of your business.
Legislative and political activism. We have a local Governmental Affairs Director who serves as an advocate for REALTORS® and works with local government officials to address issues that affect you. At all levels, we work tirelessly to shed light on the problems that REALTORS® face and to urge the government to support your efforts in protecting property rights.
New Member Orientation. We require that all new REALTOR® members of GGAR attend a New Member Orientation course, which outlines how GGAR can assist you throughout your real estate career and how you can make the most of your membership.
Tools of the Trade workshops. The Affiliates Committee offers Tools of the Trade workshops and Lunch and Learn seminars on a variety of topics, which are complimentary to our members. These workshops provide REALTORS® with information they need to succeed in their business.
Membership directory. We publish a membership directory on an annual basis that provides valuable information in an easy-to-read format.
REALTOR® store. Through our REALTOR® store, we offer a variety of products to assist you in your business, including literature displays, laser measurers, gift items, and safety products.
Website. Our website, www.gatewayrealtors.com, houses an abundance of information and links relevant to the real estate industry, as well as a Member’s Area that includes pages such as Forms, Member Events, and Continuing Education.
Constant communication. We provide constant communication about real estate topics, education courses, and association events through a variety of communication modes, including our Weekly Update, eOutlook (monthly newsletter), and express messages.
Knowledge. We provide a clearing house of information and resources to assist our members.
