Chairman of the Board


Joy Wofford, CRS, e-PRO, GRI has been a licensed REALTOR® since 2001 and is currently sponsored by RE/MAX Realty Centre in Maryville.  She is currently the Chariman of the Board of GGAR’s Board of Directors and has served on the Education, Professional Standards, and Awards Banquet Committees.  In addition, she serves as the Secretary/Treasurer of the Illinois Chapter of Certified Residential Specialists and on the Illinois Association of REALTORS’® Real Estate Education Foundation Committee.

 Joy is a member of the Collinsville Progress Committee and serves on the Board of the Collinsville Chapter of Habitat for Humanity.  She is a past president of the Collinsville Business and Professional Women and has actively supported the Phoenix Crisis Center for many years.

 Her son Eric is married and lives in Collinsville.

Chairman-Elect

 

Sandy Michel, GRI began her real estate career in 1989 as a sales associate and received her broker license in 1990.  She is the broker/owner of Real Living Vandalia Real Estate, Inc.

 Sandy is GGAR’s Chairman-Elect and previously served on the Board of Governors for the Southwestern Illinois Regional Multiple Listing Service (SIR/MLS).  She is a past director of GGAR and has served on the association’s Contracts Committee.  She serves on the Economic Development Commission for Vandalia and is a member of the Vandalia Chamber of Commerce.  In addition, Sandy is a Past President of the Vandalia Chamber of Commerce and Past President of the Fayette County YMCA.

 Community service is very important to Sandy, and she has served on various Boards and fundraising committees throughout the years in Fayette County.  In 2001, Sandy was a recipient of the Abe Award, a Vandalia community service award.  Sandy lives in Vandalia and has one daughter, Amy.

 Sandy enjoys being involved with the Greater Gateway Association of REALTORS® and feels that she represents the agencies that are located in the outlying areas of GGAR who experience different challenges than the larger areas of the community.  She is also very interested in bringing all of the offices, whether big or small, together to help build a stronger association and better the real estate industry in the southwestern Illinois area.

Vice Chairman


Chris Seniker began his real estate career in 1997 and is President of Century 21 Seniker-Edwards, Inc.
He previously served on the MLS (Multiple Listing Service) and Legislative Committees and currently serves on the Finance and Golf Committees.  Chris served on the Board of Directors for seven years and served as Chairman of the Board in 2005-2006.
Chris is a volunteer firefighter and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Riverbend Memorial Corporation, a Not-For-Profit corporation that helps fallen or injured military, police, and firefighters in the Riverbend area.

Chris is married to REALTOR® Sarah Seniker and has three children, Grant - 11, Ashton - 6, and Hope - 5.

Due to the economic struggles, the Board of Directors and association leadership will be making difficult decisions that affect us all.  Chris feels that he has the experience, dedication, and commitment to aid in the success of the association and its members.

Dana Allen, GRI, AHWD, obtained her salesperson license in 2006 and became a licensed broker in 2008.  She serves on the Grievance Committee at GGAR.  Dana is sponsored by Cisler & Associates Real Estate in Staunton. 

Dana is the current President of the Staunton Chamber of Commerce and is involved in Walk for a Cure, Bike Safety Clinic, and Staunton Family Fun Days. 

She is a member of Toastmasters International and volunteers with local agencies such as the ITS Trail Committee and The Zone Marketing Committee.  

Dana lives in Staunton with her husband of 15 years, Steven, and their two sons, Brenden and Chase. 

Dana would be honored to be elected to the Board of Directors and serve the association and fellow members.

Kevin J. Botterbush, Sr. is the broker/owner of Botterbush and Associates Real Estate. Kevin began his real estate career as a salesperson in 1989 and became a broker in 1991.

Kevin is a pre-license and continuing education instructor for GGAR and the coordinator of the real estate program for Lewis and ClarkCommunity College. Kevin currently serves on the Education Committee and previously served on the Grievance Committee.

In addition, Kevin has been active in his community serving on numerous committees and organizations.Currently, Kevin is Trustee of the Hayner Public Library District, Evangelical School Board, Trustee Evangelical United Church of Christ, and Lewis and Clark Council of the Boy Scouts. In the past, Kevin has served on the Board of the American Heart Association, River Bend Growth Association, Godfrey Park and Recreation Commission, St. Anthony's Hospital Foundation, and Eagle Scout.

Kevin lives in Godfrey with his wife Julie, and three kids, Kathleen, Jonathan, and Kevin, Jr.

Maureen Donaho is the manager/in-house counsel for Chicago Title Insurance Company and has been with them for 19 years.

She actively serves on GGAR's Affliates and Programs Committees.  In addition, she is a former member of the Title Counsel Section of the Illnois Land Title Association.

Maureen lives in Collinsville with her husband and three teenagers.

 Norma Kasten, ABR, CRS, e-PRO, GREEN, GRI has been a licensed REALTOR® since 1992.  Norma received her broker license in 2000 and has worked as a Broker Associate and Broker Manager.  She is currently sponsored by RE/MAX Preferred Partners in Edwardsville and leads The Norma Kasten Home Team.

 Norma has served GGAR as a Past President and member of the Board of Directors.  Norma has served on numerous GGAR committees and task forces and has chaired the Nominating, REALTOR® of the Year, and Bylaws Committees.  She received GGAR’s prestigious REALTOR® of the Year award in 2001.

 She also served as President-Elect for the Alton-Wood River Board of REALTORS® and was their REALTOR® of the year in 1996.

 Norma has been appointed to serve on the SIR/MLS Board of Governors from 2004-2011 where she served as President in 2006 and again in 2010.

 She has completed National CRS Leadership training twice and has gone through the chairs serving the Illinois State CRS Chapter as President in 2006-2007; she was awarded the Illinois State CRS REALTOR® of the Year in 2008.

 Norma completed IAR (Illinois Association of REALTORS®) Leadership Training and has also worked on many IAR committees, including IAR Strategic Planning, Nominating Committee, Professional Standards Committee and Technology Working Group.  She co-chaired the IAR Inaugural Banquet and chaired the IAR Spring Conference in 1999 and 2005.

 Norma has served five years on the Board of Directors representing IAR District #8 on the Real Estate Education Foundation (REEF) and chaired their Scholarship Committee.

 The real estate industry is facing some of the most difficult challenges Norma has seen in her 19 years as a REALTOR®.  She wants to be involved with our association as we face these challenges and develop solutions to conquer them.

Tammy Anderson-Owens obtained her salesperson license in 2002 and became a licensed broker in 2007.  She is the managing broker of RE/MAX Alliance in Collinsville, which she co-owns with her husband Rick.

 Tammy has served on GGAR's Professional Standards, Awards, and REALTOR® of the Year Nominating Committees.  She has received numerous awards throughout her real estate career, including the Presidents Club Ruby award. In addition, Tammy serves on the Board of Directors for the Collinsville Chamber of Commerce and is also involved in Relay For Life, Children's Miracle Network, and the Susan G. Komen Foundation.  She is a member of St John’s United Church of Christ and numerous other community organizations and events.

  Tammy is a lifetime resident of the area and resides in Maryville with her husband and their three grown children.

Stacey Schneidewind has been a full-time REALTOR® since 2006.  She is currently sponsored by Coldwell Banker Brown REALTORS® in Troy.

Stacey has volunteered for the Make-A-Wish Foundation-St. Louis/Southern Illinois Chapter and is a member of Newsong Fellowship Church in Edwardsville.

 She is a lifelong resident of the Metro East and resides in Maryville with her husband David and two children Katelyn and Kyle.

 Stacey understands the importance of a knowledgeable Board in our profession.  She looks forward to providing care and concern for GGAR’s members and the future of our profession.

Kathy Shemwell began her real estate career in January 2004 with RE/MAX Preferred Partners and is currently sponsored by RE/MAX Alliance of Collinsville.  As a GGAR President’s Club member she has qualified for either the Platinum, Gold, or Pearl level every year since she has been a REALTOR®.

 As a RE/MAX agent, with every sale Kathy contributes to Children’s Miracle Network and the Susan G. Komen Foundation Race for the Cure.  She’s also an avid supporter of Jerry’s Kids (Muscular Dystrophy Association).

 Kathy lives in Maryville where she is a member of the Maryville Economic Development Committee and the Maryville Community Library District Building Committee.  She also serves her church as a member of the “Our Lords’ Lutheran Church Welcoming Ministry Team.”

 Kathy feels that with her experience and maturity she is in a position to fully understand and represent the challenges that are facing REALTORS® in today’s market.  She is looking forward to listening to your concerns, supporting your efforts, and speaking your voice.

Linda Wheaton, e-PRO is a graduate of Lewis & ClarkCommunity College and Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.  She obtained her broker license in 2007 and has been sponsored by Landmark Realty in Godfrey since that time.

 Linda currently serves on the GGAR Education Committee and the Village of Godfrey Community Planning, Economic Development, and Infrastructure Committees and is a member of Alton Little Theater.  She is past president of The Marquette Explorers Club and Lewis and Clark Rose Society and has served in various board positions of the Alton Children's Theater, Marquette Booster Club, and Junior League of Greater Alton.  In addition, Linda is a past editor of "The Illiana," the publication of the Illinois-Indiana district of the American Rose Society.

A lifelong resident of Godfrey, Linda lives with her husband of 31 years, Brad, and their two sons, Andrew and Christopher.

Jenni Beck, e-PRO, GRI began her real estate career in 2003 and is the broker/owner of Beck Group Realty, Inc. in Godfrey.

 Jenni is a member of GGAR’s RPAC and Programs Committees and the Illinois Association of REALTORS® 2011 Executive committee.  In addition, she is a member of the Growth Association of Southwestern Illinois' Ambassador Committee.
